Hi Saskatchewan!
So it's taken me so long to update this. Basically our internet connection sucked in Australia so it took forever for me to be able to get on. But anyway, let me tell you about the race.
So the race went pretty well, I was a little intimidated and overwhelmed by everything, but I held my own. Here's what went down: The swim was really rough. Someone pulled the back of my suit to stop me, but then I just pulled on someone else to make it even. It was pretty choppy water as well. I was really tired from the swim and it took me about 2/4 bike laps to recover from it. Then on the bike I should have put my feet in my shoes right away but I was afraid I'd loose the pack so I waited a lap and a half. It was weird because I'm used to doing most of the work but there were others who were pulling hard as well. However we weren't very organized and people kept sprinting off the front. Finally, the run was very hot and hard. Half of it was on a hill and it really burned! I ended up 31st. This year, training it Victoria, I know I can do nothing but improve and I look forward to a great racing season next year! Thanks for reading:)
