The Canada Summer Games athletes have found it difficult to update the blog everyday due to limited internet access. The last couple of days have been challenging. The wind has died down and the temperature has risen. Some highlight workouts include: 12x200 draft set in the pool with Scott Dagnal and Andrew McCartney (Top canadian U23 athletes/national team members) providing some drafting tips as well as demonstrations. The same BC team joined us for a tough, windy brick workout that afternoon. (8km pack bike, 1200m run x 3). A technical workout to help prepare athletes for the required draft legal status had athletes working on a variety of bike handling skills. Today was an easy swim with relays (Sask, Manitoba and BC athletes) followed by a 14 mile climb the infamous mt lemmon. The next few days are going to provide some recovery for the athletes with some fun outings. (Joel and RossAnn)
