4.0 MAKE-UP OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
4.1 The Board of Directors shall be composed of
4.0 MAKE-UP OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS (see section 6 of Bylaw 1)
4.1 The Board of Directors shall be composed of: (see section 7 and 8 of Bylaw 1)
- 4.1.1 President
- 4.1.2 Vice President
- 4.1.3 Treasurer
- 4.1.4 Secretary
- 4.1.5 Director Technical & Coaching
- 4.1.6 Director Marketing
- 4.1.7 Director
- 4.1.8 Director STAC Newsletter
4.1.1 PRESIDENT (See Bylaws section 7.2)
The President shall be responsible for:
- the coordination of corporate policy and organization, and shall ensure that the corporation achieves the objectives set by the membership.
- preside over all General, Board of Directors and Executive Council meetings
- sit as an ex-officio member of all corporate committees as well as an ex-officio member of the Triathlon Canada Board of Directors.
4.1.2 VICE PRESIDENT (See Bylaws section 7.3)
The Vice-President shall be responsible:
- to take over the president's responsibilities when required.
- for acquiring an equipment pool to be utilized for all races.
4.1.3 TREASURER (See Bylaws section 7.5)
The treasurer shall:
- perform all duties assigned by the president as well as look after all financial affairs of the corporation including the budget, financial reports and grants.
4.1.4 SECRETARY (See Bylaws section 7.4)
The secretary shall:
- handle all correspondence referred to the secretary and shall keep and distribute the minutes of Executive and Annual General Meetings.
4.1.5 DIRECTORS, TECHNICAL & COACHING
The Directors, Technical & Coaching shall:
- be responsible for keeping the technical aspects current.
- be responsible for coaching and the development of coaching.
The Director of marketing shall:
- be responsible to market the sport of Triathlon through seeking corporate sponsorship
- be responsible to market the sport of Triathlon to increase the membership
- be responsible to find advertising for the newsletter.
The director shall:
- be responsible for duties assigned to this position by the Executive.
The director newsletter shall:
- be responsible to gather, print and distribute the associations newsletter
