Warnings City of Saskatoon 2:40 PM CST Sunday 17 June 2007 Rainfall warning for City of Saskatoon continued 50 mm of rain today.
A low pressure system moving through southern Saskatchewan is bringing rain to much of the province..With the heaviest amounts occurring in the Saskatoon area. As of 2:35 PM approximately 35 mm of rain has fallen in the City of Saskatoon..With another 15 mm expected this afternoon for a total of 50 mm for the day. More rain is expected tonight..Although the amounts should not be as high as today.
Meanwhile, in the extreme southwest corner of the province an upper low is moving in from Alberta. This disturbance is expected to trigger thunderstorms in region this afternoon..With the main threat being large hail. Funnel clouds are also possible in this situation.
